Imagine trying to pass the CPA exam while struggling with ADHD or ADD. It might seem impossible, but as someone who's been there, I can tell you it's doable. I passed all four sections on the first try, and you can, too, if you use my strategy.

Gage suspects they have ADD or ADHD and asked how I managed to pass the CPA exam despite my own ADHD challenges.
My system for tackling the CPA exam (and anything else) involves detailed planning and short bursts of activity. I broke the study materials into chunks and set aside focused time every day. I also used the Pomodoro Technique. 🍅
The Pomodoro Technique is simple. I studied in 20-minute intervals with 5-minute breaks, using a timer to keep me on track when my brain tried to wander. This approach worked wonders for me, similar to how I practiced the cello for hours a day as a musician.
When it comes to study materials, I used Gleim for self-study. Their short videos, audio clips, and books cater to different learning styles. I preferred reading at my own pace and watching videos at 2x speed if I needed extra help.
So, if you're facing the CPA exam and have difficulty focusing, use detailed planning, short study bursts, and the right study materials. You can do this.
