The Tax Foundation is out with its annual assessment of business tax systems in the United States.
As to be expected, most of the states in the top 10 simply don't collect major taxes. There's no corporate or individual tax in Wyoming, Nevada, or South Dakota, for example. Two states manage to crack the top 10 while still collecting all major tax types (Indiana and Utah). The worst states all have complex tax regimes with high rates.
Thanks to comprehensive reforms passed last year, North Carolina dramatically improved its ranking from 44th last year to 16th for 2015.
